Tree Planting A HUGE Success

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the HUGE success of this Spring’s community tree planting event, made possible through our partnership with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and TreeVitalize Pittsburgh. Nearly 50 volunteers came out on Saturday with amazing energy and enthusiasm, and in just a few hours, 25 new trees were planted across the Borough. 2026 Budget & Fee Schedule Now Available

2026 Budget and Fee Schedule Approved and Available Ford City Borough Council adopted the Borough’s final 2026 Budget and an updated 2026 General Fee Schedule at its regular public meeting held on December 8, 2025, concluding Council’s final meeting of the year. Council unanimously approved the 2026 Budget while maintaining the borough’s real estate tax rate at 19.4 mills. Ford City Borough is proud to announce the substantial completion of the Borough’s Waterline Replacement Project, marking a major milestone in one of the most significant infrastructure investments in the community’s history. Ford City Borough’s 2025 Fall Trash Days will be October 21 and 22nd. Items may be brought to 2ND Ave by the Borough Garage. The drop off times for October 21 and 22nd are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Curfew for Minors

In accordance with Ford City Borough Ordinance No. 599, a curfew is in effect for all individuals under the age of 18. Curfew Hours:Effective year-round, minors are prohibited from loitering or being outdoors in public places after 10:00 PM, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or possessing a newly written, signed, and dated note from their parent or guardian stating the minor is out on an emergency errand. July 2 – Curfew/Emergency Siren Repairs

Beginning at 8:00 AM tomorrow, July 2, 2025, residents will hear the Borough’s emergency/curfew siren sounding intermittently throughout the day as part of work to repair the curfew siren timer. There is no emergency. Once repairs are complete, residents can expect to hear the curfew siren chime each night at 10:00 PM, in accordance with Ford City Borough Ordinance No. 599.
