Ford City Borough provides regular garbage collection services to help maintain a clean community. Residents are asked to place their trash in the alley or at the curb for their scheduled collection day and ensure all waste is properly contained to prevent litter and pests. Residents are provided with a gray “Ford City Borough” container for their weekly pick-up, which is to remain at the property in the event of new ownership. Residents who wish to have an additional container should reach out to Shank Waste Service directly.

Residents are asked to set out their garbage the night before the scheduled collection day and follow borough guidelines regarding acceptable materials and container use.  Bulk item pickup and special collections are available by reaching out to Shank Waste Servies directly.

Additional bag tags are available for purchase at the borough office in the event that a resident has more garbage than what can fit in their container. Each additonal tag is $3.00 and can be purchased with cash, check, or money order.
