About the Director
Andrea Kiehl-McKibbin is the Ford City Public Library Director. Andrea is a Ford City native and received her Master of Library and Information Science from Clarion University in 2018.
The director oversees all facets of library operations, including staff and volunteer management, strategic and budgetary planning, collection development, service management, outreach and public relations, fundraising, and facilities management.
Library memberships are free for all residents of Ford City Borough. In order to apply for a library membership, you must complete a short application, and present photo identification and proof of residency.
For individuals living outside the borough of Ford City, there is a $25 annual charge for membership. A discounted membership is offered for a $10 annual charge for senior citizens (age 62 or older) and veterans. Three month cards are also available for $10, with the option to extend for the full year.
In addition to the regular weekly events such as Chess Club and Storytime, there is a monthly book club held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 pm, a local history program held the first Thursday of the month at 6 pm, a family makerspace program that held
on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6 pm and a DIY Thursdays, an all ages
crafting group, the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6 pm.

Per the state library code, the Ford City Public Library board has the capacity for five to seven trustees. Our 2022 trustees include:

Friends of the Library
Love your local library? Considering joining Ford City Public Library’s Friends of the Library group. “Friends” groups help promote and raise awareness of library services and events within the community. Members can help in any way they are comfortable, including but not limited to fundraising, volunteering their time, assisting with projects and events, advertising and advocating for the library.
FCPL’s Friends of the Library group meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm. Please contact the library for more information.
